ABOUT US
KAROLINA'S STORY:
On Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, Karolina found herself on the receiving end of a miserable migraine, or what she thought was a migraine. After a visit to the ER at NYU, a 7cm mass in her frontal lobe was discovered. On December 10th, she underwent a near-total resection of the tumor at MassGeneral. On December 20th, she received a diagnosis of brain cancer.
While the diagnosis is undoubtedly daunting, Karolina's resilience in the face of adversity serves as a profound source of inspiration and admiration. She is fortunate to have an exceptional team of medical professionals at The Pappas Center, coupled with the unwavering support of family and friends.
SMILEY FUND EVENTS:
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all those who have supported us through the purchase of our merchandise and attendance at Smiley Fund events. Through your contributions in merchandise, raffle ticket sales, and event ticket sales, both Smiley Fund events have achieved significant success.Thank you for your support of the Brain Tumor Education and Research Fund at The Pappas Center for Neuro-Oncology!
We had so much fun celebrating Karolina with everyone at Remedy Place and Common Ground. Stay tuned for details about our upcoming events!
